Sibs and Kid Sister

So, my little sister may kill me for these next two layouts that I am FREELY sharing with the world, but I do enough for her that she can build a bridge and get over it. ;)

The first layout I created for another post at Trixie Scraps. I had to do another post about a font and you can read that post here.

Here's the layout:

The next layout I did to help out the team. Trixie along with Connie Prince (together they make North Meets South Studios) released  January Templatetopia and Trixie needed layouts to go with it.

Here's what I created:

Last Christmas...

I've been neglecting this blog for awhile...I've done quite a bit of digital scrapbooking lately for different projects, but I forget to post about them. I'll try to work on it.

As for tonight I am realizing I never posted about the Christmas gifts we gave to our siblings this past year....

My little sister hasn't mastered the art that is digital scrapbooking/crafting/whatever yet, so she asked me to make this for her friends Christmas gift. I obliged cause I'm that AWESOME of a sister and then I got to thinking. (A dangerous pasttime, I know) I decided I could do something a little different.

I decided we would find a song that closely represented our feelings for the certain sibling or something we wanted them to know. This was a challenge, but my dear hubby even helped me out with some of the song choices. What can I say? He loves me.

So, I got to work making the overlay outline. Then I had to type each song and get it to fit. Sometimes that was a challenge. Then we printed it off and I had repainted 'cheap' picture frames (Hey, we were talking like 10 frames here - I come from a large family) to match a color in the picture.

I didn't take step by step pics, but I will share the completed pictures and then a picture of them all in the frames. This gift was much better received than I ever imagined!!!

To see the pictures bigger, you can just click on them and they will open up bigger! ;)

Spooks

Halloween Time! One of my favorite times of the year.

I really like how this ended up!

The original idea can be found here.

Smile

A fairly simple layout for another fave picture of mine.

I didn't have glittered s's for the title, so I improvised and painted a letter 's'. I am not sure that I am not CRAZY about how it turned out, but I like it enough.

The original idea can be found here.

Sunday Best

The continuation pictures of the previous post (well, if you actually read the journaling).

I love these pics of my cute little kids and I am so pleased with the result.

I didn't have enough "blue" chipboard letters (I made 2 of this layout), so I took some "green" letters that I had and simply painted over them. For the circles on the bottom, I used the dotted paper and cut the circles that were already there.

This is a "scraplifted" design that I originally found
here.
