I Believe

How often do you include yourself in your layouts? Probably not very often. So, that's why I wrote this post for a Master's Monday on the Trixie Scraps blog.

Here's the layout.

Ailey

Love playing with newly released kits. This one is God Gave Me You by Trixie Scraps.

I fell in love with a word art and built my layout around that. I also made a tutorial on coloring just part of your photo. Read that here.

Draculaura

There was a post made in Trixie's CT forum about a Monster High themed kit, I jumped on the bandwagon and begged for this kit. Trixie wasn't sure how she was going to do this, because she wasn't familiar with the show, but thank my lucky stars she found another designer who was more familiar with it and they teamed up to bring us Ghoul School.

I totally grabbed this kit ASAP and got to work, I knew exactly which picture to use as well.

So OVER It!

Today at ScrabookBytes, Trixie Scraps has a great new kit going for Grab-A-Byte. You can get all 6 pieces of this awesome kit for only $1 a piece. That means if you get each part of the kit, it's only $6. But that's only until June 16th.

So do you wanna know what the kit is? It is called Bratitude and it's seriously awesome. It's perfect for all the fun times that come with pre-teen and teenage daughters or other girls that are in your life. I love all the colors in this kit and how much glittery embellishments there are.

Here's the page I made with the kit and I'm sure I'll use this kit for more layouts in the future...

Tiny Dancer

Once again, Trixie of Trixie Scraps designed a kit I just HAD TO HAVE. She showed us the preview of the kit and I knew immediately which pictures I wanted to use and an added bonus was that they coordinated with the kit almost perfectly.

The kit is called Prima Ballerina and it was released at ScrapbookBytes today as part of the Grab A Byte sale. As of today each of the kits pieces is only $1.00. I would jump on that deal.

So you wanna see what I did?

Here's a little background. We signed my oldest daughter up for dance as soon as we could. A lady in the neighborhood we had lived in had a dance school and it was reasonably priced. I also knew she had the same morals as us, so we wouldn't have to worry about risque costumes and dances for our 3 year old.

These pictures were her 1st set of professional pics done during her dancing years. I wish she had stuck with dance, but she decided a few years ago that she was done. She wasn't enjoying herself and we've come to realize dance isn't where her heart is at. She is much more into art and so we're helping her focus her talents that way.

Anyway I totally went off on a tangent there, but here's my layout using Prima Ballerina.

The BIG Sister

Awhile ago I was able to test out MyMemories Suite and have since gone to it when I want to do simple, quick scrapbooking. The other day I finally 'liked' them on FB and notice they do all sorts of giveaways and even have some challenges.

One of these challenges takes place on Sundays. They call is Speed Scrap Sunday and it really is meant to be quick.

I think I maybe spent 20 minutes on mine, tops! It was fun and I'm very pleased with the result.

Grandkids Picture Puzzles

My sweet Mother-in-Law had a birthday this past week and I needed a gift for her.

She's not really an easy person to buy for as she isn't a really 'wantful' person. She also doesn't really like knick-knacky things, but I figured if it had pics of her grandkids she would make an exception.

So this idea is always super simple and I wanted to kick it up just a notch, so I added 2-3 word phrases on each pic that represented that child's personality.

Here is what the finished product looked like along with each of the pics I used:

The fun part of this gift was watching my mother in law put it together. I purposely didn't tell her that once you got one side done, it was just a matter of flipping blocks to get the other pictures right.

And again no supply list as I did this the same night as the Family...An Early Heaven blocks.

Family...An Early Heaven Blocks

So, I procrastinated and needed a cute little gift for my wonderful grandma. (She turned 91!)

She doesn't need much in regards to material things, so I tend to do cutesy, crafty things for her. I liked the way the Sweet Little Princess blocks turned out so I decided to do a similar thing for my grandma.

This is the result:

And I don't have a 'supply list' as I was doing this project way late at night, while suffering from heat stroke as well.
