Being a part of a Creative Team, sometimes we get to play with goodies long before they are available to the public. Such was the case with this kit. It's a beautiful kit and I was so glad I got to play with it.

We Are Family

When Trixie Scraps September 2013 Templatetopia came around, I grabbed it. There are a few templates that are 2 pagers, but since I'm not a huge fan of 2 page layouts - I used only one side and made my layout. The kit I used was part of Scrap Stacks September Pack.

I was finally able to do another post about fonts on the Trixie blog! I love fonts and I'm always excited when I get to do those posts. You can read the full post here, but here's a look at the layout.

This was a fun layout to make. My siblings and I don't look too similar now that we're all grown up, but I think as little kids we had more similarities than not. I love how this came out. It's not how I pictured it going in my mind originally, but it came out close. (We'll see if my siblings still talk to me after seeing this post. HAHAHA)

If you know me at all, you know that I love to work with templates when I'm scrapping. It makes things quicker and easier and it doesn't stress me out as much.

Mother's Day 2013

I decided before Mother's Day that I was ready to get back to the wood crafts. I had an idea in my head for my mom and so I headed out to Wood Connection to get what I needed. I also bought a few little things for myself that I've YET to even start on. (Maybe later today)

Anyway, for my Mom's Mother's Day Gift I gave her this:

Yes there are a couple of open spaces and that's because there's 2 babies coming by the end of the year (with one of them being mine, YAY!!!).

Just a couple more digi layouts for you. I actually have one more that I've done recently, but realized I made a HUGE mistake and forgot a letter in the title....so I get to start all over and redo the page. Hahaha.

The first one was made a few weeks ago, but I had to wait to post it because...Trixie of Trixie Scraps added a new store to her lists of places where she sells her kits and we had to wait till it was available at that store. That happened last week and so now I can share my layout. I was thrilled when I saw the kit and knew EXACTLY which group of pictures I wanted to use.

The next layout was made when I got together with a few of my friends for a scrapbooking night. It went well into the wee hours of the morning and THAT'S why I missed a letter in the title of the page I need to redo. This was the other layout that came from that night.

Take A Hike

Hold on to your seats, folks...I actually made a layout for no other reason than to just make it. I'm so proud of myself. It has to do with my friends wanting to get together again and scrap. We haven't done it in months and I'm so glad we got together today. And guess what, we're getting together again tonight - but I'm going to go back to my roots then and make some traditional layouts. We'll see if I end up sharing anything. HAHAHA!

Yup, I went back in time and created a layout for the 'family' book. Woot. I'm seriously thinking I may be changing my ways and sticking with digital. I'll get things done so much quicker.

Works Well Under Pressure

So, I discovered that sometimes I need a deadline to actually get things done. As I mentioned before my mother in law and I had planned to give her mother a photobook for Christmas of our trip out to visit her this past summer.

Well, December was sneaking up on us and we wanted time to get the book printed and shipped so that she would get her gift around Christmas and not after!

It took me probably 3 afternoons of really plugging at this to get these last few pages done in the book.

Because I was in a time crunch I didn't really keep track of the supplies I used. I can tell you that almost every single kit I used was purchased from MyMemories and all the layouts I scraplifted from some of the more recent issues of Creating Keepsakes Magazine.

Here are the rest of the pages from our trip to Nebraska this past summer. Also keep in mind my Mother in Law did a few pages as well and I don't have those copies...

Do you remember this past summer?

I do - mostly.

We took an awesome trip to Nebraska to visit the hubby's grandparents. His parents came along with us. It was a great week long get away and of course we had tons of pictures between myself and my mother in law.

My mother in law decided a few months back that we should make a book for her mom about our trip for Christmas. Well my mother in law and I have gotten together TWICE to get this done and how many pages do you think we have done?

I think we have about 6 total. I've done 3 and I think my MIL has done 3 as well. Anyway, I thought I'd share the few pages I've done and I apologize for not having a supply list and I did these a few months ago...I'll be better with the next pages I do.

And yes, after I post these I think I should work on a few more pages as Christmas is slowly creeping up...

Chore 'Chart'

We were in desperate need of a chore list in this household. I kept putting it off because I never took the time to sit down and think about what chores I could handle the kids doing. Well, I finally figured it out and came up with my own idea, but incorporating this as well. I also used magnets to keep the boxes on so that they can be taken down and put back away as needed.
