Play - Tile

My little brother celebrated a birthday at the beginning of the month and back in August this usually camera shy brother, "posed" for a picture with my daughter. When I saw this picture I knew I had to use it.

For whatever reason this little brother and my daughter have a very special relationship, he has a nickname that only he is allowed to call her. (Daughter's rule)

Anyway, it was a very sweet picture and I was glad to share it with him.

My brother in law celebrated a birthday at the end of August, but my family just got around to celebratin' his birthday this past weekend. So I called up my little sis (his wife) and asked her to send me a recent pic of him and his son because I had the quote in my head that I wanted to use.

Birthday Card x 3

So this past weekend we celebrated 3 family birthdays...3 all on the same day!

Well I kind of procrastinated making the cards, but oh well, they got done on time, but I didn't have time to keep track of the supplies used.

I can tell you that I used the design found
here though!

Words of Inspiration

For my Mother In Laws birthday I found a picture frame/album that I absolutely loved! I also came up with an idea to include each of her grandkids a number of times. The following is the result:

Work: Optional

This dress was so cute - I miss all the cute little girl clothes....

Anyway, nothing much to explain about this one, except that I had to paint over the chipboard letters. All I had were purple letters, and of course, that just wouldn't have worked!

Original design found here.

The Best Thing

Love, Love, Love this picture with me and my kids. It was taken Halloween night, but that didn't mean I had to make it a "Halloween" layout.

I loved the look of this layout and knew it would be perfect for this picture. And I also like how the color combination turned out, though I was scared to use it at first.

Big Brother Birthday Card

A birthday card made for my big brother, following an example found at kwernerdesignblog.com.

Sadly, the way it turned out looks like it might work better for a child, however...

Oh well...

LadyBug

Still Halloween time.

Because my daughter was still too young to really make a decision on her Halloween Costume we decided for her.

My parents always called me, "Shilobug" and referenced it to lady bugs, so when I found a ladybug costume, I had to use it!

I love the fact that even though this is a "Halloween" layout, I was able to steer clear of the regular Halloween colors!

The original design can be found in Creating Keepsakes Magazine, August 2009 issue, Page #80, The Bridge Layout.

Smile

A fairly simple layout for another fave picture of mine.

I didn't have glittered s's for the title, so I improvised and painted a letter 's'. I am not sure that I am not CRAZY about how it turned out, but I like it enough.

The original idea can be found here.

Sunday Best

The continuation pictures of the previous post (well, if you actually read the journaling).

I love these pics of my cute little kids and I am so pleased with the result.

I didn't have enough "blue" chipboard letters (I made 2 of this layout), so I took some "green" letters that I had and simply painted over them. For the circles on the bottom, I used the dotted paper and cut the circles that were already there.

This is a "scraplifted" design that I originally found
here.

Express Yourself

Ah, my lovely daughter...She was and still is a very emotional thing. I used this layout (after transferring blog, lost the original link) to finish mine.

The end result:

Look-A-Like

I was so happy when I saw this original idea (I apologize, I transferred this blog over to this name and in doing so I lost a few links) , because I always have a hard time figuring out how to scrapbook individual photos. (I am a chronologic scrapbooker, so there are many times I have this issue)

Mother's Day Then and Now

Just before Mother's Day I found an idea prompt in one of Creating Keepsakes magazines. The prompt said something to the effect of "Do a page comparing your mother's life with your life." Immediately an idea came to mind...This happens rarely for me, so I knew I had to run with it.

The following is what came of it and ended up being my Mother's Day gift to my mom.
